Switzerland Adventure: 1-Day Trip
Interlaken
Nestled in the heart of the Bernese Alps, Interlaken is a natural gem, flanked by the pristine waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, both fed by the River Aare. As its name implies, the town lies between these two lakes, offering a spectacular setting. A short walk from Interlaken Ost station takes you to the Harder Kulm funicular, where the town’s iconic mountain rises 1322 meters above sea level. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Interlaken, the surrounding lakes, and the majestic Alps.
Grindelwald
Grindelwald is a must-visit for mountain enthusiasts, offering a front-row seat to the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. This picturesque village is surrounded by verdant meadows and framed by the towering 3970-meter Eiger, creating an unforgettable alpine experience.
Lauterbrunnen
Set in a stunning valley, Lauterbrunnen is home to towering cliffs and the impressive 300-meter Staubbach Falls. The area also boasts the glacial waters of Trümmelbach Falls, which carve through the mountain with tremendous force, offering dramatic views from observation platforms.
Bern
Switzerland’s capital is rich in history and landmarks, including the iconic Zytglogge clock tower, the Parliament Building, and the BearPark. The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offers a charming walk through history. Fun fact: Bern is the birthplace of the world-famous Toblerone chocolate, crafted here since 1908. Since it’s the winter season, our visit to Bern will be under the night sky, giving the city a magical atmosphere.
